• Where are you based?

I live and work in Glasgow, Scotland.

  • How do you make your illustrations?

All my work is hand painted, digitally using a Wacom Cintiq 27QHD andAdobe Photoshop. I often start off by sketching with good old pencil and paper before scanning it into the computer.

  • What is your process?

The first step is to get as much information from the client as possible. The more information I can get at this stage, the easier it is for me to see the client’s vision for the work. Then comes the research……lots of research! I research everything from character poses, facial expressions, clothing, lighting, composition ideas…..the list goes on. Basically anything that will help the piece. I then loosely sketch several ideas to get a general concept and composition. Then I make a more refined sketch of the chosen concept to send the client for approval. I then do an underpainting showing areas of light and shadow, then paint in colour. Finally, I add details and send off to the client for final approval.

  • Are you available for commission?

Absolutely! Assuming my schedule allows it!

  • Do you only work with agencies?

Not at all! I have done many private commissions (portraits in particular) so If you have a commission in mind, give me a shout!

  • What are your rates?

Pricing really depends on a few factors, the description of the project, the client, the turnaround time, and the usage (where and how widely the image or images will be used and seen). If you let me know some more info on what the project is and what you require, I can give you a more accurate quote. Alternatively, contact my agent, Levy Creative Management for more info.

  • Where can I buy prints?

I don’t have any prints available at the moment.
